Well, the CSS also needs to be in the popup page. CSS doesn't transfer from one page to another when you use window.open();

alert("<div id="content">....</div>");

I really haven't messed with JS much recently so I'm not too sure that works...


4) You should probably just use flash. Its much more useful imo.

No. This requires scripting, either client-side (JavaScript/AJAX) or server-side (PHP, ASP, ...).

If viewer does not have the correct plugin, the <embed> area becomes whited out. The <embed> area is in a <div>. I want a code to not show the <div> by CSS if viewer does not have Apple quicktime. I know how I should make the CSS work but not how to check if viewer has correct plugin
