2. how come my images disappear when i set ( height="20%" ) what can i do instead?

1. I like using percent based for tables, I've never tried it for images. It's great because a lot of monitor screens have different sizes & screen window sizes, so when you resize your window it readjusts.

2. Only use the percent move for width not height, I've never tried this so i don't know. Just use <br> a couple times instead :p

1. Percent isn't as good simply because there can always be a bad outcome, such as images being too small or getting too distorted. Same for tables too... Only use them when appropriate.

Also, %'s only work when their parent element supports it. It's also unreliable cross-browser when you use nested tables/frames/divs etc.

2. What purpose does the image serve? If its just a picture you shouldn't scale based on percent, if its supposed to tile (or stretch one direction) you could use a div with a background image. Depends what you're trying to do.

i want it to be like that how matter how big screen you have, if i place the objects with px they get fucked up on other computers, and if im not supposed to use % then what :confused:

and the CSS background should be streched to fit all viewers

Are you using CSS or tables to structure your site?

the right panel "nyeste mallerier" is a table no problem with that it's more with the navigation panel.

this dosn't work...

HTML:
<a href="http://www.pageresource.com"> <img src="billeder/forside.gif" border="0" width="14%" height="30%" > </a>

but when i change the height to now procent it works... WHY?

HTML:
<a href="http://www.pageresource.com"> <img src="billeder/forside.gif" border="0" width="14%" height="30" > </a>

Use pixels if you want to have a specific size and use the "align="center"" tags.

1) don't hotlink other sites
2) remove any whitespace between <a>, <img> and </a>.

</a> is not needed at all.

//edit
Unless your last quote there isn't the full HTML code and somewhere before it there is an <a href... tag then do what Enouwee said.

Most people had a 1024x768 screen... Work with that one..

Only use % on the main DIV.. When positioning inside a main DIV, feel free to use px..

My site looks bad on IE.. IE is just plainly stupid..

You might want to check out my under development site.. I'm hosting it at home.. I've tried it with different resolutions, and it works great.

I have no clue what you're talking about. If yours doesn't look good and you have no idea why, well ... that might be the reason.

Boomtown's width is fixed to 933px. It'll look the same (centered, fixed width) in every resolution larger or equal to 1024:
Code:
#outerSite {
	margin-left:auto;
	margin-right:auto;
	text-align:left;
	width:933px;
}

Ah i think thats the code i need

so if i use that in my "Body" i can place/size everything in px now and expect it to come up in the same scale in a ex. widescreen?
