Crime Laramie police ticket 13-year-old girls for throwing french fries

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Don't even think about starting a food fight.

Police say that's the message they hope to get across to Laramie Junior High School students by citing three 13-year-old girls for "hurling missiles," an adult crime under city ordinances.

The girls allegedly threw french fries during lunchtime two weeks ago.

Police Chief Bob Deutsch says police and school officials warned the girls the day before the incident not to stage a food fight. He says the girls decided to test the warning anyway.

Small town police with no real work so they get involved in doing the school's own job.

Well I mean it really is the girls fault. They were warned. Happens at my school with sheriffs telling us not to throw stuff at people. (been warned not to punt stuff across campus, throw food in random backpacks, or just liter.)

Lol, ow, gonna hurt someone by hitting them with french fry missiles.

Those girls got fried. (Ok, bad pun )

Someone will get insulted by that fry, and when other people start laughing, peer pressure comes into play of doing something back, and might start a fight eventually.

$60 might have been a bit too much, but it's a good lesson for the rest. Even though the police shouldn't be doing the school's job, as Rapmaster said.

yeah awhile ago some girl got hit with a can or something and ran at the girl who had it and started a fight =O

Wow Small towns are different from my area (i don't live in the city but it is urban)

Where there is like 7 murders a week or so
