Large hero selection

Once again, I am in need of help. I'm trying to figure out a simple way to have a large hero selection. Each hero is based on a class which, at the moment, is only thief. I've got it set up so when the game starts each player is given a "Soul" (A wisp that can't do anything) and a variety of potions. The potions are just to change the standard "Soul" into either an "Orc Soul", "Elf Soul", "Human Soul" or an "Undea Soul" signifying a different race. I've also got the actual class selection based on buying an assortment of Tomes to transform each soul into the selected tome. For example if a player turns their "Soul" into an "Orc Soul" and then proceeds to buy, say, a "Tome Of The Archer" he would turn the "Orc Soul" into an "Archer (Orc)" or headhunter. Anyway, I was wondering if there is a simpler way to do a mass hero selection seeing as there is an intended 15 to 30 classes each with 4 different races, totalling 60-120 heros. Or would this be the easiest possible way? Thankyou for your help in advance.

Before I forget this too. Is there are way to create a flood like trigger. The reason I want to know is because I'm interested in created a RPG map were after all main quests are done the player could get in a boat, then the water level would rise until only the top areas of the map (Which were previously inaccessible) a accessible, creating a "new world" par say.

Oh and is there a way to create an internal invisible counter, that only counts up when a certain trigger is excecuted.

this might work for you:

You could a an orc,nightelf,undead and human tavern where the soul chooses one and replaces the soul with the hero. Or if you like kills the soul and creates the hero, whichever you prefer.
