Based off of Lord of the Flies

Sign up - This is a fairly 'Closest Environment' roleplay, and to make this realistic; before we beginning we would like all of our characters already approved. With Neutral Controlled Characters filling up necessary positions afterward. If you are interested or think you may be discuss here (Roleplaying Guild Discussion)

June 12th, 1993 - Transmission Waves were heard all across the many Flight Control centers across the Atlantic Coasts, as a Trans-Atlatic flight of an Airbus A300, flying to Paris from a Boston Airport, was experiencing technical difficulties and the pilots were unable to keep the plane stabilized and in the air. Before controllers could establish a perfect connection with the pilots, the plane's transmission went silent. Supposedly going under somewhere near international waters close to America, but in reality the plane fell in much deeper water, miles away from where controllers predicted. Not only that, but after several days of searching, no reckage was found anywhere near the estimated range, and was concluded to have drifted. For how many miles, it is unknown.

There were several groups of Passengers on the plane however the most notable were a fairly large group of High School students from St. Francis in Boston. They were suppose to head towards an expensive end of the year trip, and doubtfully didn't survive. However, much like other predictions a small number of these students and survivors did manage to find themselves alive, stranded on an uncharted group of islands in the Northern Atlantic, with no adults present; it is up to them to decide what they are going to do, how to behave, and what laws there are on their island and, of course; who is going to live, and who is going to die...

Gameplay
This Roleplay will between teenage/high school characters from the years of 14-18, as they try to live and establish their own organization or society on the island.

This roleplay is open to all, and its purpose is to introduce new roleplayers (along with old) to unique character development, and characters with specialized traits. But also to allow players to be shown how and practice portraying these personality and unique traits realistically in gameplay. While one might consider this to be a "beginner" RP we hope that everyone will take part in it that would find this to be a fun game.

Aspirations
This roleplay will have one fairly unique portion in the Character Sheet, and this is Aspiration. This field can only be filled by five specific choices that will explain what your character's, overall, wishes to do and these desires will most likely conflict with others in the group. Which may lead to compromises or total violence.

  • Rescue - A character with this aspiration, is far more concerned with being rescued than anything else. Your character would most likely use all of his efforts to getting off of the island. Even if this is to sacrifice resources for multiple smoke signals and rafts to get off the island for, the character will most likely cause problems in group politics by reminding others that he has not lost hope of being saved and returning home.

  • Leadership - Your character's personality, traits and desires are more in the form of aspiring for leadership amongst the group and having everyone listen to him/her for what they think, they should do. He/she will be more interested on being listen to and being in-charge than other people's safety, even if this means sabotaging resources or any efforts to be saved.

  • Survival (Individual) - Your character traits point to a desire that is more focused upon basic human emotions, where his/her own survivial and his/her fear of staying alive are far more important than any other issue or factor. A character with a this aspiration will be less likely to save another if it put his/her own life in jeopardy. While this person is more captiable of surviving, it may cause several problems amongst the group.

  • Survival (Group) - Your character has the personality, and traits of a person who concerns himself with the entire groups survival over his own. A character like this will be more willingly to rescue another person if that meant the group stuck together.

  • Pleasure - Your character personality and traits that make him more of a pleasure-seeker, and sees no interest in returning to society and rather stay here amongst his school friends on an uncharted island for as long as possible. A character with pleasure will probably not want to work on getting anything done, like building shelters or smoke signals, instead he/she will only do the bare minimal of responsibilities before going off to enjoy oneself.
