AoS Legacy of Heroes [Beta] - May version released

    General
    custom attack system
    - every unit has -
    critical strike
    block
    dodge
    these stuff can be increased by items or spells and are stackable


    custom projectile system
    - map will later feature -
    hero with random attack missiles
    spells which slows/speed up unit's missiles


    custom buff system
    - map will later feature -
    items/spells which are able to prolong or increase an effect of a buff


    custom aura system
    for example auras which are applied only to certain units

    Terrain
    natural looking terrain

    no wc3 cliffs
    - uses lower/raise tools -

    no wc3 trees
    - uses custom trees -

    no wc3 water, but with water steps and water drops
    - uses doodad water, which is nicer -
    this water still have water steps
    water drops from rain


    Heroes
    100% triggered spells
    neat and very informative tooltips

    I would say it's generic AoS, but it has its uniques, for example heroes are original and some systems are completely new.

    I will not release alpha version.

    As soon as we make 10 playable heroes (we've got 7 now), we will fix some issues and make some more items.. we will release beta version which will be playable. :)

    It might be this week, 85% sure. :)

    In vJass you lessly make some leak..

    I am working on new Inventory system, now.. should be finished in few days.

    What inventory system?

    So far I can say.. you will be able to build your own recipes just in game. :)

    Oh, well, okay! I'm really looking to seeing this completed, it's looking great.

    Also, the spells are underway, I think they will be done today or tomorrow.

    Hello! I wanted to release beta version last weekend, but due some bugs recently found I couldn't. However, I finally finished my inventory system. Here we go!

    I'll release beta version as soon as I have 10 heroes ready. (I have 8 so far, working on 9th)

    I'm glad you like it! I'll release as soon as possible, I just need to add last hero and fix some issues with this system. :)

    Beta version released

    So, I am releasing beta version of the map. You can download it from the link on the first post. :thup:

    Test it please, report any bug or any issue you find. I'll fix everything I can fix.

    Try to find any bug in inventory system I made especially for this map.

    There are a lot of tooltips missing. Are those known mistakes, or should I write down which ones?

    Tried the map a few times quickly. I thought I'd hand out some feedback on the heroes if you'd like?

    In any case, I like the Revival System alot.

    They are known.. I know they're missing. I'll fix as soon as spells will be stable, because they aren't for now.

    Tested two heroes, Mammoth guy and the Ice Giant dude.

    Firstly, I really liked them! Although there are some cliche spells, they work rather well with the hero's other spells, some of which I found rather unique. Some things I noticed:

    -The Iceshard thing that teleports you doesn't stun, it just slows. The tooltip claims that it stuns. It could use a nicer projectile though :p
    -Ice Block is really cool. It has many uses and is really versatile! Cool concept for this spell!
    -Absolute Zero's spikes has the Impale sound. I think a more Icy sound like Frost Nova's would do much better.
    -The Mammoth's charge skill is really cool and works wonderfully well with his third ability. However, it may look better if he moved his legs, since it looks weird when he doesn't.

    I also noticed that many heroes don't have stories, so I randomly concocted a story for the frost giant guy.
    Great job, I'll test more heroes :D

    Tested your map, nice! But i have a question, why paladin's heroic guard can target on enemies?:confused:
    By the way, could you change the Sasquatch Hero's attack sound to something like Wood Heavy Bash? Because the attack sound from him sounds and made him looked "weak"

    I really like some of the ideas, the revival system being one of the best I've seen. What I do not like however, is the terrain, it's kind of boring and is not natural looking.

    The maim ability on the mamoth is broken, its tooltip does not display properly. You could use slow posion instead.

    Of course, but problem is that animation somehow does not work and he has so nice walk fast animation. Any idea why this does not work?
    I used it straight way, because I'm not very good with making stroies! I also credited you! Thank you a lot. :thup:
