locking the map on a mac

i want to lock my maps but the programs in the faq is .exe files which i cant use because im using a mac.

Did you try using the MPQ proggies on Darky's website? They are made for macs.

click on the "Tools" link at the top.

open up your map with one of the mpq proggies and delete the .wtg file. That will erase your "viewable" triggers, so no one can see any triggers when looking at your map in the editor.

I thought newer mac platforms can run simple EXE files... my sis can do it.

so you don't have any triggers then? are you making a melee map or something? because if you have quite a few triggers and you delete them, why would someone go and make new heroes? without triggers the map is officially useless to them.

aha, i thought it just made so u cant view the trigger, didnt know it deleted them.
but how do u open the map with the mpq proggies? when i click on "open with..."
it comes up a window where u are supposed to choose program, but i cant choose the mpq-programs.

I have exactly the same problem. I also can't drag the maps to it.
Perhaps only w3m files are allowed, and no w3x?

maybe, because it feels like there is almost no use of making a multiplayer map if 8 year olds only will open the map and create really imba heroes and think its really fun and then play it on b.net...
