Long Rifles Upgrade Question *ANSWERED*
The Long Rifles upgrade for the Riflemen. I'm looking at the data right now. The Warcraft 3 website says that it increased their attack range by 20, but the data lists that the Attack Range Bonus is 200, and the Attack Range Increment is 200.
Now, in seeing this I automatically assumed that it was just part of the in-game function. I wanted to increase his attack range by 100 each level. So this is what I put in the data:
Level 1 - Attack Range Bonus: 1000
- Attack Range Increment: 1000
Level 2 - Attack Range Bonus: 2000
- Attack Range Increment: 2000
Level 3 - Attack Range Bonus: 3000
- Attack Range Increment: 3000
Level 4 - Attack Range Bonus: 4000
- Attack Range Increment: 4000
In doing this, his attack range was increasing by outstanding numbers. It was in the 10000 range. So I removed the last zero (since 1000+2000+3000+4000 = 10000). At least when I had it like this, the attack range was going up in the proper increments, it just was too much, and it was adding up. So I removed the last zero, so the data looks like this:
Level 1 - Attack Range Bonus: 100
- Attack Range Increment: 100
Level 2 - Attack Range Bonus: 200
- Attack Range Increment: 200
Level 3 - Attack Range Bonus: 300
- Attack Range Increment: 300
Level 4 - Attack Range Bonus: 400
- Attack Range Increment: 400
Now, for some reason, for every point I put into the ability, the attack range goes up by 1000 for each point. I only want it to go up by 100.
So his initial range is 500:
Level 1 - 600
Level 2 - 700
Level 3 - 800
Level 4 - 900
Can anyone help me out here?
Edit: I fixed it. I thought that the Effects of an ability meant the level, but really those are different things that the upgrade can do to your unit.
