Ok my trigger looks like this..

Spawn Reedsharks NW
Events
Unit - A unit enters Enemy Territory Tropical NW <gen>
Conditions
Actions
If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
If - Conditions
(Number of units in (Units in Enemy Territory Tropical NW <gen> owned by Neutral Hostile)) Equal to 0
((Triggering unit) is A Hero) Equal to True
Then - Actions
Unit - Create 1 Elder Reedshark for Neutral Hostile at (Center of Spawn Enemy Tropical NW <gen>) facing Default building facing degrees
Unit - Create 2 Reedshark for Neutral Hostile at (Center of Spawn Enemy Tropical NW <gen>) facing Default building facing degrees
Else - Actions
Do nothing

My problem is, that after this happens, it never happens again, say a player leaves like for 1 min or two and decides to run though this area again, the monsters are no longer there and don't spawn.

My question is how do i get it so after about 30-60 seconds these monsters will respawn if a player steps into the area again? WITH THE CONDITION, THAT THE OTHER MONSTERS THAT WERE THERE ARE ALL DEAD.

Can anyone help me? AIf i screwed up the trigger and need to remake it to get this right, i will do that, plz someone just point me in the right derection, im all out of ideas..

another way to do it is this,

every so often if no nutral hostile units are there create the shark then

make it sleep and be invisible and invonerible

tehn when a hero enters. . wake up turn of invisible and invonerable (both can be turned on by a trigger so just disable teh trigger . . . ) and ur good to go

if u dont want to do taht i dont know any reason ur other trigger wouldent be working

Are u trying to make a battle ship map??

No im making a map based arena style with Hero making, where you can make your heroes, but the trigger, after i leave, it doesn't fire off anymore, is there something im doing wron gwith my oringil one? Or do i have to do something to make the trigger go off again? How do i loop this trigger, or should it do it automaticly?

Your trigger looks fine to me. You could remove the If part and put those conditions in the conditions at the top of the trigger like this:
Code:
Spawn Reedsharks NW
Events
Unit - A unit enters Enemy Territory Tropical NW <gen>
Conditions
(Number of units in (Units in Enemy Territory Tropical NW <gen> owned by Neutral Hostile)) Equal to 0
((Triggering unit) is A Hero) Equal to True
Actions
Unit - Create 1 Elder Reedshark for Neutral Hostile at (Center of Spawn Enemy Tropical NW <gen>) facing Default building facing degrees
Unit - Create 2 Reedshark for Neutral Hostile at (Center of Spawn Enemy Tropical NW <gen>) facing Default building facing degrees
All that does is makes the trigger easier to read, though.

ah i see so u want to make it so that when tehy enter units spawn for tehm to kill

right

but tehy have a choice when tehy go in to attack teh units right, heres what u can do

give players controll of teh spawns. . .

make it a text thing so like when a player types -fight

teh units enter. . . got it

or make it form a building taht way it should always work unless u want to loop and stuff

...why would you do that?

Anyway, try making your condition check for alive neutral hostiles, not just any ones.

That might be my problem sargon, how would i make it check for "alive" unites in teh area? thanks!

Eh im having a very hard time getting it to check for neutral alive unites, i tried the Is alive unites thing, and it doesn't have a way for me to have the game check if those are neutrol hostile alive units.. eh im confused someone help me out lol.

Ok this is what my trigger looks like now... but it doesn't have a way for me to make ti check for the unitse in THE REGION, i want, cuz if i do it like this, won't it just check every part of the map to see if thers any left neutral alive unites, and if so it wont spawn them, correct? So if thats teh case, how come i can't check the region for alive unites, ive messed around with the triggers and can't find that IS ALIVE TRIGGER, WITH REGION CHECKING AND PLAYER CHECK.

I want it to check the REGION, for ALIVE NEUTRAL HOSTILE PLAYERS BEFORE SPAWNING THEM AGAIN.

Spawn Reedsharks NW
Events
Unit - A unit enters Enemy Territory Tropical NW <gen>
Conditions
Actions
If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
If - Conditions
(Number of living (Unit-type of (Triggering unit)) units owned by Neutral Hostile) Equal to 0 <---- PROBLEM LIES HERE I CANT CHECK THE REGION AREA I WANT IT TO CHECK.
((Triggering unit) is A Hero) Equal to True
Then - Actions
Unit - Create 1 Elder Reedshark for Neutral Hostile at (Center of Spawn Enemy Tropical NW <gen>) facing Default building facing degrees
Unit - Create 2 Reedshark for Neutral Hostile at (Center of Spawn Enemy Tropical NW <gen>) facing Default building facing degrees
Else - Actions
Do nothing

OK, first thing. If your Else action is going to be "Do nothing" in a trigger as simple as this, don't bother with the If/Then/Else function at all. Just put the stuff in the If part into the conditions and the stuff in the Then part into the actions.

Second thing, to make your posts clearer, please put your triggers into [ code][/code ] tags (without the spaces).

Third thing, your condition should look like this:

Code:
    Conditions
(Number of units in (Units in Enemy Territory Tropical NW <gen> matching (((Matching unit) is alive) Equal to True))) Equal to 0

You get to that through Integer comparison-->Unit – Count Units In Unit Group-->Units In Region Matching Conditions.

Ok sorry to bring this thread back up guys, but its not working...

I made the trigger the way you said, but it seems to read the hero entering the region as an alive unite, i need somehow for it to check for ALIVE NEUTRAL HOSTILE UNITES. I new that would be the problem, but i figured id try it, and it didn't work. so now im back to square one, except this time no unites are spawning ... the trigger looks like this now..

Code:
Spawn Reedsharks NW
    Events
Unit - A unit enters Enemy Territory Tropical NW <gen>
    Conditions
(Number of units in (Units in Enemy Territory Tropical NW <gen> matching (((Matching unit) is alive) Equal to True))) Equal to 0
((Triggering unit) is A Hero) Equal to True
    Actions
Unit - Create 1 Elder Reedshark for Neutral Hostile at (Center of Spawn Enemy Tropical NW <gen>) facing Default building facing degrees
Unit - Create 2 Reedshark for Neutral Hostile at (Center of Spawn Enemy Tropical NW <gen>) facing Default building facing degrees

Start with "and" as condition.
That will allow you to put two different conditions at once.
One would be what you already have "(((Matching unit) is alive) Equal to True)",
the other: Owner of (Matching unit) equal to Neutral Hostile.

Guys just a heads up I am going to be shutting the site down soon. I am just waiting on the NUON people to decide whether they want to transfer forum data and keep the discord. My email is [email protected] for anyone that wants to keep in touch and I have a facebook too. I will make an official post later. Love you guys and will miss everyone!

  • The Helper The Helper:
Someone email AtariAge and see if they want me to transfer the forum data over to it
  • Ghan Ghan:
Could probably keep NUON stuff around here if we wanted.
  • Ghan Ghan:
Hmm what to do about the World Editor site though?
  • Stephen Stephen:
I'd rather personally just own a backup of the Nuon data than see it go to AtariAge honestly. If it gets enshittified as per usual, or if some of the "regular" Jaguar folks get there, it's not gonna be fun
  • The Helper The Helper:
There will be a github of the forum data so the NUON Forum Data I guess would be available there
  • The Helper The Helper:
World Editor is technically Ryoko stuff not mine you guys can keep that I am not in that even
  • jonas jonas:
:( end of an era :(
  • The Helper The Helper:
Dont think of it as an end jonas - think of it as a beginning, because really my friend that is what it is.

Also, anyone who is reading this and is sad - don't be, turn off the Internet, step away from the box - enjoy your life - there is so much more out there for you than there is here for you.
