lost cd key please read

Hi

i uninstall Roc and FT a couple of days ago and i want to reinstall it back again. however i lost my FT case and my serial key. i install RoC and i need a serial key for FT, is there a program that can help me get my serial key back with the CD i have?

also, how can i change my Serial key once i entered one already?

please help

Unfortunately you uninstalled the game so without the CD Key you cannot reinstall. You will have to buy another game.

If you had not uninstalled then you could have used the cd key grabber from this site to get your CD Key from your installed version.

You cannot change your CD Key - You would have to uninstall and reinstall, and reenter the key.

well , there's the folder call "temp" and the "regedit"
sometimes the computer auto save important info.
well try to find it on of those good lucky.
 
that won't work. As with diablo 2, warcraft stores the cd key in a file called storm.dll. Since you uninstalled, this file was removed. Just buy another game. I did recently and its only 20 bucks(US).

as a side note, also stored in that file is all the cheats used in the game, although they are encrypted.

you dont nead to bay the game download Hendirecoveri program for
back up delited folders end files then restore your warcraft III folder
copy the cd key graber tu the directori end grab your CD key
thats can onlu work if you are not instal war III before

Yes Enki can you clarify what you posted, give us a link, or possibly spell the name of the program correctly (a google search on the program name returns nothing)?

Does that mean that I could back-up my CD keys by copying storm.dll? I have two copies of D2 (so I can trade with myself on B.net), and I wanted to do a re-install on one of my computers, but I've lost my second CD key...could I install with one key, then overwrite storm.dll with a backup of my current version, and effectively switch back to my old CD key?

I'd just use the CD-key grabber, but with the new 1.11 patch, it's DII users' turn to wait for an update to the grabber...is a new version in the works?
 
I have done what I can to try and get the grabber updated. Sometimes it takes a while.

Or . . . you could just install the game twice to get the same effect.

Why would you want to copy over the dll, i wonder?
 
Well just to say. On newer windows wersions there is a very usefull program called System restore :D :D
Just restore to an earlier time when you havent uninstaled your game.
 
well, i have pretty updated software for windows, and ive also lost my cd key for diablo 2, which i uninstalled. so where might i find this system restore.

You might find system restore in your start menu then accessories then system tools then finally system restore good luck
 
Unfortunately we no longer support any type of Lost CD Key issues on this site besides saying buy the game again. Topic Closed.

    this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.
