Well, as some of you know. Lost Island was my first map ever made. I like the terrain in this map. I like the idea, I like almost everything about it. I want to bring back Lost Island. Now I need help with a few things...

Updates:
New Races
Race Select
Weather (either user or AI weather. Need a few ideas.)
Hero Ships (Maybe)


I need help with the weather system. I would like a user to control a weather unit, but then they could over use their power. Making my map have sad game play, or I'll use an AI. Any ideas on this weather system.

Any new races you want to use, right now it's Humans, Orcs, Night Evles, Undead, and maybe Naga.

For weather, use AI it will make it SO much better. Race select = dialog

btw, what is this map? Sorry i never heard of it can you post it so i can try it?

Sure here you go.

I was very new to WE when I made this. So that explains all the glitchs.

I took out this attachment, there's no need to look at the old map now.

I have no updates to share with you today, I'm just asking a question...

How can I make it so that when the main unit dies, everything in that player's control (owned by the player) will die also?

Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units owned by (Owner of (Triggering Unit)) and do
Actions
Unit - Kill (Picked unit)

Well, the test map is finished. =D Please, host the game on bnet and give me some feed back. Thanks for all the help, next Lost Island map should be the final version. Thanks again.

I'm thinking of importing some AI in my map, if someone could give me some links for Human, Orc, Night Elves, and Undead AI. That would help allot. :D

I'm the creator of Lost Island, I didn't rip, or steal this map. All made by Ninva. :D

Anyway, I really need to know before I publish this map on other sites ect. If players can ally, and trade. Please just send a PM.

For weather I'd set an integer to a random value between 1 and max number of possible weathers, then do a check to see what it is and change it based on that. Ie. dice = 3 is rain. You might want this to be activated by players, or as a perodic event. I'd use tornados, blizzards, and mass moonsoons to damage things based on a unit that casted it. Good luck.

    How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?

    The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats

    I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be

    Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that

    Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings

    And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that

    These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars

    Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality

    Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing

    I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.

    It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done

    I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
