lost my cd key....

I lost my diablo 2 cd case but i have the cd and i have the expansion pack still installed on my older comp is there a way i can get the diablo 2 key code from the folder or soemother way. {i tried the cd graber it jus gives me the expo code}

The cd key grabber program can get it for you, but you may need a newer version of it. The one on our site is apparenly from August and I think there is a newer one that addresses this problem with D2.

Hmm, that one should still be valid for Diablo 2 Expansion. the cd-key grabber should list two cd-keys for D2 Exp, in the first box will be Diablo 2 classic, and in the 2nd box it will be your Diablo 2 expansion cd-key. The problem I had was with a plain D2 Classic installation without the expansion (it had a different set of executables/dlls and would actually remove the cd-key from memory after connecting). If all else fails, you can backup your .mpq files before you reinstall.
