Lots of D2 errors, what can I do?

I have 5 diffrent D2 errors, the usual access_violatin (c0000005), error decompressing sprite, *data == SYM_EOL + another diffrent * data == SYM_EOL error and the freeze system-have to reboot & scandisk thing error, I have tried everything, even bougth a new graphic card, to see if that helped, but no, still the same errors, and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling like 10 million times, and if I play in D3D mode, all hell breakes lose, i can only play in direct 2D, and theres were I get all these errors.
Some times I can play for 5 min. other times for 2 hours straigth, I have have read the post about the new 1.09c fix, but i cant seem to find this file: .pncache.dat why not?
And is there anybody here that can help me??
And I have another question, sometimes, rather like alot of times, when I play D2 LoD, I join games or create games, and then nothing happens I get kicked out of b.net, and I have to wait 5 min. to reenter (it says "realm down") whats that about?

I hope theres someone out there that can help me, I'm very sad cause its the best game in the world, and the only one I play these days.

My comp specs are:
1.4 giga t-bird, 1024mb ram, ATI radeon 8500, SB live, 60giga IBM HD, 19" monitor, 384/384 adsl and win XP pro

Yes thats no problem, my mobo is a Soltek Sl-75KAV-X that can carry up to 1.5 giga ram.
I just remembered something I didnt post in the first subject.
When I install the expansion pack to D2, it comes with an error at the end of the installation, it says: bad data file, I have attached a screenshot if anybody is interrested.

shot in the dark here .
but it seems some TSR proggie is messing up during the install .
make sure viri scanner is disabled .

hit ctrl-alt-del and close all proggies cept systray and explored
then try a new install

or Contact Tech Support... there are about 40000000 different Tech Support numbers.. so it has to be a fairly common problem if any one of them can fix it... or I wonder if it just wants you to contact Tech Support so that the geeks on the phone can have a laugh?

First thing I live in Denmark, and I dont know if theres a tech support in my country, and im not gonna call blizzard in america and use $1000 on my phonebill just to get ignored or things like that.

Second, I use win xp pro, so when I hit ctrl-alt-del the task manager pops up, and I have closed all visual programs, but I dont know how to close the ones that runs in the background, its not like win 98, as you problably know. But ill give anything a try
