The Egyptians used limestone blocks from *fairly nearby cliffs that they, yes, carried with logs and ropes and such. 1500 km is a gross overestimate of the distance they needed to move the blocks. Also, the pyramids were all built roughly from between the times of 2630 BC and 1814 BC. Not to sound like a dick or nothin'.
