Making a Normal Unit Into A Hero Part 2

Hey. NoxMortus made a subject like this but i saw a comment in his that i was hoping some 1 couild answer.

I think I know an easier way.Coincidently, I've seen the ability "hero" once when scrolling the abilities list. This must turn the unit into a hero, I suppose?

This is what Mind had said.....i was woudnering if that was true?

also i saw the advice about changing a heros look and icon...but what if u want 2 have about 30+ heros? im guessing there are only around 25 heros in the game. so can u have say the blade master in ure game but than run out of heros. u cant still edit his look and icon and come up with a new hero and abilities and still have the origional blade master can you?

1.) That way doesent work, it dosent make that unit a hero.

2.)True theres only about 20-25 heros in the true game but theres 100+ other units, just use the normal heros as a base.

3.) U can have 1000+ heros with different abilitys that look like the blademaster, as well as 1 blademaster thats normal, just use the 'create custom unit' button (looks like a knights mask) and select the bm as ur base then go from there.

thanks a lot thatll help...i plan on making a map on the lines of DotA....nice thing is, is that DotA dosnt look like that it would have lot of triggers and variable things....so i figure that it would be a good map 2 start with...plus i have some experience with the starcraft map editor so i figure that i can make a simple DotA map.
