Making certain items not able to pick up

how do i make it so that items by sertain types of heros cannot be picked up like for example there are items for ships that i dont want heros to use... and currently the trigs i have for them dont work at all, can someone tell me how i can do this trig?

Unit acquires an item

Unit-type of (hero manipulating item) not equal to ship
Item-type of (item being manipulated) equal to hull

Hero - drop item being manipulated from hero manipulating item
