Making my own ai

I want to make my own ai but alls it needs to do is control a hero I need the hero to cast spells choose spells and how hard would it be to get him to micro a bit?

Thats pretty much as simple as it gets for micro.

So if i wanted him to move to a ranom region id just use a variable or w/e right?
