Making sounds smaller

I got a sound I want to use in my mapn but its like 600kb and thats to big, Can I make it smaller some how and If i can how???

You're going to have to have a powerful Media Editor and crop it down to what you want.

If you're using Windows, try downloading the shareware version of GoldWave
It allows to do some cool effects and to save files in MP3, reducing the file size.
Also try reducing frequency or converting from stereo to mono.
