Okay sorry for being away for so long; I know I started this thread some time ago, but I am back at it now and still trying to figure this bug out. I did eventually try these suggestions:
Fixed all of the above - still crashes.
Tried this - still crashes.
I know that it is not an issue with upgrades, abilities, buffs, or scripts/triggers. I can import any and all of this data to another map without having that map crash. It is specifically object data: a unit, Hero, or building...(If I load the map's unit data, it will crash by clicking a human town hall or human build button.)
Why is my unit causing crashes or disconnects?
Not everything you do in the editor will be valid in game. Check for these.
"These can cause crashes/disconnects"
-Set a unit's collision size to 0.
-Set a building's pathing map to "none".
-Make a hero building.
-Give a unit a loading ability without a cargo ability.
-Set the "Damage - Number of Dice" field to a high number
(there is no real reason to set it above 2, just raise the base damage instead)
Fixed all of the above - still crashes.
that happened to me
do you have any neutral buildings that your town hall can create?
This happened to me when i tried clicking the build menu on my peasent
instant disconnect, sometimes frozen
EDIT
try removing everything your town hall can create except for things like peasents
then add all your old stuff, leaving the new stuff out
