Metamorphosis skill and rivive time

Ok. This one is right over my head, and havn't got a clue anymore.

I have a hero with a skill based on Metamorphosis (ala illidan). The alternate form is a hydra that flies and has all the same abilities.. all of that works just hunki dori.

The problem is as follows:

?Hero dies before learning and using the meta. skill. It takes the appropriate ammount of time for that level of a hero to revive.

?Hero dies after using the meta. skill. It takes about 3 times as long to revive as it should.

I've checked the 'repair' times on both units, and everything is marked down as the same, but for the life of it, it refuses to revive as fast as it should.

I'm using a building to reive the heroes, by the way. Each player gets their own after picking a hero.

Help? Thoughts? Something? Anything?

I was gonna search the forums, find the answer, post a link and then lecture about searching the forums. But actually, this question has not been satisfactorally (is that a word?) answered. I know I had problems myself first time I made a metamorph based spell. I used the spell, and my hero instantly died. After normal revive time, it revived in its morphed form .
