Mic Button

My mic doesnt have a button for on or off so every time i want to use it i have to press the speaker thing in my system tray because i dont want it on all the time. Is there a way to press something on my keyboard or something to make it go on and off?

like just when im on my computer like if i wanted to use msn with mic it cant be muted and i have to use the speaker thing at the bottom everytime, so anytime wen a game isnt playing or for msn. (what ever will work)

MSN just diconnect and connect whenever you wanna talk. i mean disconect the direct talk or whatever its called, not sure how it works cuz idont use MSN. and for games such as a counter strike they have hotkeys and it will be muted untill the hotkey is pressed.

:banghead: help please i have all sims disks through vacation or unleashed which ever came last but i have not got the case to the original sims disk therefore i cannot reinstall as i have no sku # or whatever that is
