I see the cracks in your facade,
The holes in your beauty.
What I see beneath is terrible.
My friends tell me that I should love you,
That I should give you a second chance.
They are blind.
They love you because of the lovely things you have done.
Your stunning beauty, beautiful art and deep soulfulness mesmerize.
But you are nothing.
Your successes will never outweigh your flaws.
You have let terrible men abuse you, lead you by the nose.
Ignoring those around you, you care only for money.
How did I ever love you?
Naivete, speak nothing of it.
I see now.

At first I thought it was some sort of drug, specifically crack, but then I sort of lost that line of thinking. Any hints? If it is symbolism at all..

Nice poem. To the point, and descriptive. To me it sounds like he's talking about a girl, an ex-girlfriend to be precise.
