Missing DINPUT8.DLL file?

I just downloaded my BattleField 1942 multiplayer demo and when i go to play the game it tells me i am missing a DINPUT8.DLL file?
I have no idea what it is...Can anyone help me?
I have already tried uninstalling the game and re-downloading it..
Any help will be appreciated..

I have the same problem here with BF 1942. I formated over 8 times to find the problem. Holly crap dinput.... can't find the solution yet.... I will tell you when I'll find it.

I found man.... go get the dinput8.dll v.4.8.0.400 its an old version, but fix my game, now I could play yes yesss yessssss
