I downloaded this rpg orc model from the hive, but I cant get it to work on my map. When I test my map there is just a shadow where the orc model should be and my units cant walk over it, they go around it like if there was something there. I tryed to click the shadow and the unit isn't there i can't click the shadow.

^ thats where i got the orc.

Well..its happened to me a few times. Its a possibility of a few problems:

1) you havent defined the texture path that the site gave "Textures\RPGOrc.blp"
2) make sure you import both the texture and the model
3) you havent added the model file to the right place..make sure you change the model file area named: art-model file

following these steps worked for me so..hope you get it to work for you

If you followed that correctly it should work. heres a pic:

Ok this is what I have now = I imported war3mapimported\RPGOrc.blp
and I put that for his Icon - Game Interface. Next I imported war3mapImported\RPGOrc.mlx and put that as hisModel File.

I have also imported the war3mapImported\RPGOrc_Portrait.mdx I dont know where to put this.

With evory thing like this i tested my map and the orcs icon was a picture of like chopped up body parts all organized and not bloody or anything. And I could click him and there was no orc but just a shadow and i was able to make him run aound. But nor RPG orc shows up.:(

Have you restarted the WE after import? That is a must for the WE to recognise the model. Else it will not work:D

Double Click the file in the import manager, then check the box and write the patch there.
In this case this: "Textures\RPGOrc.blp"
without the ""

I restarted the world editor and it still don't work.

And the only way I can click on him is to click the hero icon on the left of the screen. I cant click the shadow where the orc should be it wont let me.

Textures\RPGOrc.blp is that what I put in model file?
