Monk Class Revealed

Just recently in Blizzcon blizzard has announced the fourth class for Diablo 3, details provided in the following link.

The monk is a melee fighter with the ability to use runes.

Quite impressive. I thought I was the onlyone who will figure this out. I just hope that they release DIII at some point where there is either vacation or I am sick... otherwise I am going to do some serious school missing.... gawd this brings memories...

sweet. i just found out as i went to the d3 site. i think the monk is ment to be like the assassin in d2, and his weapons also resemble that of assassin weps:

Yeah, b**ch! Assasin was my favorite class.... though I wasn't exactly the "plant traps and run Foo!" type... I was more like Phoenix strike, Phoenix strike, Dragon claw, Phoenix strike, Phoenix strike, Phoenix strike, Dragon claw, Cobra strike, Cobra strike, Cobra Stike, dragon claw, mana potion (I also leveled up the resistances, waepon block and critical strike )

i hope that we can make a "younger" monk.. the one shown in the movies is an old guy.

this man was one of the monks of Ivgorod, the secretive and reclusive holy warriors of the country.

Blade, I think that the monk will be a battlemage. Let's see what we saw in the trailer: He is a warrior, with magical skills, And the last thing we saw, was meditation, or something like channeling aura... I am with you on this one. Though I am not sure if he will have heal

Diablo will not have a healing class. Nope. Never. That's not how the games played. Everyone is suppose to be up there kicking ass.

I usually love these kind of classes but the name monk seems like some, um, temple dude, lol.
I like dark, evil, assassins.

Monks and Assassins would actually make a great fight if you think about it... Not in the game, but in reality.

Anyway, think about it. Monks typically live in monestaries and do NOTHING but train to fight and study new ways to fight... I don't see how you can NOT feel this is going to be a good offensive class.
