Instead of moping around on the subject you may want to find out why you can't host games.
Usually it's because of your router (hopefully you have one).
Fortunately for you I fixed this problem myself a couple months back, which is why I started wanting to make maps.
The problem is simple.
1. Make sure your War3 port settings are default.
2. Disable any firewalls on your computer.
(This may include anti-virus/spyware firewalls.)
3. If that doesn't solve the problem go to your router control and enter your name and password to get in.
4. Then find the section of your router control that deals with opening and closing ports (May be a little difficult to identify).
5. Manually open the port 6112 and 4000 (TCP and UDP, out and in)
That's basically the shortest way to deal with the problem. Many routers today actually recognize Blizzard's port settings and have a "Blizzard" port setting option which opens all the ports needed to host all Blizzard games on the Internet. The ports I suggested only allow you to host War3 games. Other ports will have to be opened for other Blizzard products.
