Moving & re-sizing Boss bar?

2. I would like to re-size my boss bars, so that they are much smaller. I would also like to remove the picture completely from the boss bar. -Is this possible?

I don't think it's possible. I messed with boss bars for banelings but I decided it's not worth it. I currently use the boss bars though but I'll remake it with dialogs later on.

That would be my suggestion for you as well: Use dialogs. They take a little longer to make but they have a much greater flexibility.
