Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0 Email Client Has Landed

Step right up and download the Thunderbird email client. Get rid of Outlook Express now and start using Thunderbird!

Mozilla appear to have removed any trace of a download link for Thunderbird. If the Thunderbird page is consistent with the Firefox page, then the download link should be near the top right corner in larger letters, but it is clearly not. Anyone know why?

there's a nice big whitespace above the words "Support our Work" on the top-right, where I believe the link should be.

I spent a bit browsing through their ftp and eventually found it here:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/1.0/win32/en-US/

that's the english version, but just go up a level or two in the folder tree and you can access versions for other languages and other platforms.

I don't know if I should download the full 1.0, or if there is an update for my 0.9 version

Okay, I just downloaded and ran it. It installed over without losing anything.

All our business emails are kept for a while, and I've lost them all once before with outlooks store folder options...heh heh.

I must say, after initial use of the program, in addition to having very good functionality, it also has a very beautiful interface, very easy to use and pretty to look at.

While I am still splitting my time between using Firefox and Internet Explorer, I won't mind at all using Thunderbird as a total replacement to Outlook Express.
