I guess I can let everyone know that I got a special gift-- I'm now an "MVP"

But not from Blizzard. From Microsoft!

Apparently they noticed me here and on other forums and they have sent me a LOT of goodies. Such as a big gift certificate to their online store where things are sold super cheap (MS products as well as corporate stuff like mugs with Microsoft logos... ha), and a full MSDN Universal subscription (full versions of all operating systems, Office software and Enterprise Dev tools.) And a nice bag and framed certificate plus access to some private newsgroups and betas.

I'm not sure who nominated me (if anyone... apparently nomination is a big thing), but thanks if its someone from here.

Congratu - Fucking - Lations Rapmaster. THAT IS AWESOME! I am so glad to see you getting some recognition for all the work you have done supporting people over all these years. That MSDN universal subscription is SWEET! I hope that we do not lose you to the Microsoft forums because of this but I would not blame you for a second.

These days I have a lot less time to post on ANY forum, with work and everything, but I'm not going anywhere!


I also had the choice of a Technet Plus subscription, but I get that through work (I think) and its kind of boring Plenty of other goodies: I'm really amazed how they treat their online community. I'm unfortunately under a fairly strict NDA though so I can't say much more.

The casual friendly relationship between their support staff and the community reminds of Blizzard in the old days :/ Yes folks I am talking about Microsoft.

coz MS sees real talent ?? hell rap answered stuff from the total noob to the expert user for years .

as thehelper i feel extremly proud that this forum made a difference for another helper .

i find this kickass all in all ..
helping out here might result in a beta now and then .. but hell ! this is tons better! for me it means doing good and helping out does pay off ..

cept my job does not motivate me that much to help ppl online ..
i am glad rapmaster still has the strength to answer stuff ..

i used to run a comp shop .. wich was cool
now i am tech i took a few steps down and not run a comp store ..
i requested that myself

let me tell you 2 idiots on the phone who ask why they cannot visit their favorite porn page . and a few morons who ask me to backk up their photos and then i found out they the pics backed up from sites like www.teenager.com and then dealing with all the idiots errr users who got infected with with ms blaster ............

rapmaster i salute you ! i know you have to deal with users also .. but u allways came back to answer stuff here for years ...
