Okay instead of creating a new thread for every question of mine, I'll just post them here.


I have a character that I want to randomly spawn creeps near him. These creeps would differ based on his location. My question is, is there a way to make regions that are not square? Could I make a region fill the bottom left triangle of my map? Or do I have to make a series of regions to have this effect?

No, you can't make a region a triangle, circle, diamond, etc. You may only shape regions into squares and rectangles.

My next problem is shared unit control when a player leaves. I don't know how to get it to work. I have heros in my spawns so in the triggers the dying unit has to belong to a player. I have tested an when I am yellow (and gone) control of red leaving was given to me. I want the shared control to be given to all players ala DotA. And I don't want the shared resources board to show.

Another problem is I want the net ability to autocast. How can I do that. Do I use triggers, and make a "dummy" spell that when cast it casts net?

I've got a few more questions: How would I display a game timer in my mutliboard?

And when a unit dies a timer window is created, but it only display a part of my text then cuts out. It only showa Reviv... Is there a way to fix it?

The only way is to have a cell for the timer value, then manually update the cells values at intervals.

I know the editor truncates titles of timers with periods, but the actual game doesn't. The editor only displays it like that to save on horizontal space.

Thanks, but that still leaves my biggest problem, leaving players. I'm trying it as just the grant shared unit control trigger, I'll report back.

New questions:

Is there a way to create a unit that is transporting something. In other words, can I create a transport ship that is carrying a peasant?

Is there a way to increase a unit's sight range via an ability or something? I am using triggers to simulate this using a dummy, but I don't think its working the way I want it to.

Well, no, but you can force a unit to load into a unit immediately after the game starts.

The action trigger is :

Unit >> Issue Order Targeting a Unit >> Order ((unit)) to board ((unit))

Sight and attack range, or both, can be enhanced with an upgrade.
Data - Effect = Sight range bonus
Data - Effect = Attack range bonus

7. Ok, I tried the normal share unit control when a player leaves, but it replaces my multiboard with the player resources multiboard. How do I prevent this?
