Hmmm interresting.. at my local restaurants all the people working there have the same pay and share the tip pot.Those are only a few of the restaurants tho. Funny thing; the ones with shared tip pots get more tip over all than those who dont share. From what I've heard, but I guess it sort of makes sense.
They all tip a few percent to the kitchen staff, and we get some 1.5 percent of all food sales, it's pooled to the entire kitchen so it doesn't come out to much. Probably twenty bucks every few days each (actually I recently got a raise in it, I've noticed, as I seem to get more than most people).
