need *ADMIN* help

well i tried posting this before, but it seems nobody with half a brain cared about it(the one guy that replied was an idiot), so here we go again:

Ok i just reinstalled d2 classic. When i completed it i went to install LoD but it said that "the previous installation must be in the same language as Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. I had to uninstall this because i installed an illegal mod that corrupted my install (yes my fault, i know. I have learned my lesson) Please help me.. I should also mention now that d2c is installed whenever i start the game i get a black screen saying "server error". This is weird plz help
Ok i fixed the above problem by reinstalling again. I can run d2c now and i can enter the install window fine. My problem NOW is that my cd appears to be unable to copy d2xtalk.mpq and some other files from the exp disk. This has happened before to my cds. There is a perfect ring around the cd on the back side and it wont work. I think my cd drive is screwing these cds up or i have really bad luck. Please help

Do all of ur cd's have that ring. If so it means that ur cd-rom is messed up. Try to borrow a cd-rom from a friend and try copying those files.

if the rings are being put there by your drive, then you need to get your CD drive fixed or replaced!

It may also be that your CD drive is not compatible with Blizzard's crazy copy protection. Try another drive.

I am not the dumbass who went and used some shit ass 3rd party app and hosed up my CD's

next time you ask for help .. be thankfull you get any reply at all.. or at least pull yer head out of yer ass and stick to the legit stuff.

Well you sound really mature. Anyways, i fail to see how a character editor can harm my game cds. Really doesnt make sense, does it?

Thorugo: a character editor can't mess up a CD, but a defective CDR drive can... you should look into that

you are right... but if you read the post.. you would realize that I was attempting to communicate with you on a level that you would not need to grab a dictonary in order to finish reading the post.
