new and unsure

im new at making maps and i wanted to kno if there was some sort of format for making triggers like if you wanted it to say something during the game you go like (example) message all- and put the message and if there is could you tell them to me. also im not sure what the computer understands when im telling my triggers what to do.. like do i just say what i want it to do or is there some format 4 that 2? well thx for even reading this and if anyone has the time could they post something for me so i could start -try-ing (emphasis on try) to make some simple trigger so i could actually make a decent map one day.

Have you read the World Editor Triggers Tutorial on the World Editor Tutorials site?

It has alot of really good basic information. You might want to give it a read if you have not already and if you still have questions after that post back.

ya....

i did read the tutorial and it helped alot just i still dont know what to type for triggers.... like ive seen ppl post triggers on the net and some start like "cinimatic-" and others "message-" i just dont know what things i can put there at the start and what the computer understands when telling it what to do after.
