I for one hope that clans have there own ranks (WoW style) and that clans can run their own custom ladders for their own maps, that would be awsum.

you asked for it - here are some

...some of what I consider the most crucial technical improvements

for one, the way maps are dispersed has to change to a P2P-like strategy to take the load off the server or the computer loading it up: let's say you've created a new map and you're uploading it, then all those joining in on the game in the game lobby should be able to profit from the upload of those who already downloaded the map. A torrent-like system would be ideal.

second, the ping in ms of each player should be registered and clearly shown as soon as in the game lobby. Thus you could tell exactly which players would be responsible for severe lags later on. Also, it might be a good idea to have the ping shown in game, just like ego-shooters display it with a hit on the tab-key.

third, the host should have more control over the slot assignment of the players in the game lobby. What's needed here is an assignment system using simple drag and drop. Blargh bothers playing together with Hophop, and ABC urges to play together with DEF [names changed] but all the player slots are filled already and we're stuck? The old way is kicking one of the players and asking the others to swap positions to then wait for the kicked player to join back in. The more convenient solution would look like a quick drag&drop, and everybody's happy.

Ability to demote Designated Member (The option that lets shamans make anyone have Channel Operation Status till they leave)...
Because many have tried to take over clans like that, not a big issue if you just report it but w/e

dl list...

people upload a map here and anybody who cant get in a popular game just dl it at the dl list, then people can come to the game with out having to download it.

How many players more needed in the game would be nice. Ex: Island Defense 11/12 so no more noobs joining and being like omg I dont want to be titan

Also you know when you join a game and it searches and searches ( while you cant do jack shit ) and 95% of the time you sit there for a minute only to get an error message? Have a button to stop searching for the god damn game.

Use the anti-hack you use in ladder for custom games.. don't have to ban em just flag them..

Better game sorting.. right now its pure crap. You can search by map size , ect. Make it be able to search by map name.

Ex. Type in DotA and only maps with the name DotA in it appear for exmaple DotA .50b or something like that. Very useful say you want to find a impossible boss game , type that in and there you go.

Better friends list... Its so f***ing glitchy like you would not believe. Sometimes it says my friends are in the same game I am in , which they aren't. Says there in a game when there not. Unable to see each others game even tho were mutual , ect. The stupid 2 week thing when join a clan too. Completely uneeded.

Blizzard never really cared much about Custom Games, they may add that but they only care about stuff that matters with your rank or melee, etc.

Its a 1 week thing, mainly so you can't just join, become a shaman then leave.
You have to wait and prove yourself that your good enough to be another rank.

Not so useful for Custom Game clan... More for Melee Clans

I would like a more diverse clan rank. More than just peons, grunts, shamans, then the chieftan like Warcraft. I mean, obviously have the leader, but be able to have more than five people in whatever will be the shaman rank, and then have another rank so that there can be more than six people that can operate the channel. That way you can let people kick others out of the channel, but they won't be able to remove people from the clan. And have channel ops be able to kick people out of the channel while they're in a game or something would be cool, as well.

Having some kind of an auto-invite thing would be cool, as well. That way people that wished to join wouldn't have to wait for a leader to log on to join, they could, if the thing was enabled, just join it.

And something like bots being integrated into clan channels would be cool.

I also wouldn't mind being able to put some kind of an advertisement for the clan somewhere.

Your own ranks would be incredible, and to be able to use custom icons (maybe upload, or just pick from some defaults?)

And with each group, you can edit if they can:

• Join the clan
• enter the channel
• Kick non-members
• kick members
• ban non-members
• ban members
• Kick people from clan
• etc..

...Maybe possibly making teams?

Clan Wars, Actual clan wars. Not some like stupid custom game crap of clan wars. Clan Rankings and such.

1. Better game filters. (As in; You can include all games that include the word "Dota" from the list, or show only games that have the word "Uther" in them.)
2. Make it so designated people and shamans can only ban, kick, ect people who are grunts or peons or not in the clan. (Designated people can ban the chief from his channel if hes not in the channel at the time.)
3. The ability to note people. (Example: /Note Arthas "Arthas is a noob I bet in footmen frenzy that wanted me to add him" (In case you forget) or /Note BiGboByy "He teamkilled me in 4vs4. If you ever see him in a game, kill him first." When the noted person game into a game\channel it would tell you the note you have on him, or it would do it through /whois.
4. "/Stats all" command. Like /stats in wc3, except it would do everyone in the game.

All I can think of atm..
