Howdy,

Right now i have a motherboard that doesn't have an AGP slot and sucks big time. I am in need of a new motherboard (and maybe a new processor).

Here is what i'm looking for...

a motherboard that will take my current ram (pc133), my current proc (althon 1.1ghz), my current modem (ISA 56k), and has a nice AGP slot for a kick ass graphics card....or hell - maybe i will upgrade the proc too - you never know. I also would hate for it to have onboard video/sound because this one has it and i hate it - i tried installing my PCI Gamer Live! and it was totally screwed up.

Alrighty...just wondering if ya'll could help me with getting a new motherboard (and processor?)

Man I forgot who makes it, but there's one motherboard manufacturer that makes motherboards that take both DDR and SDR. I'd buy one of those, so that if you ever want to upgrade your proc you won't have to buy a new motherboard.

lacks an ISA slot though :/ ... but you can put DDR or SDR memory in there (of course not both at the same time) Onboard sound (and network) but they can be disabled in BIOS easily.

I know, its hard to find a PCI modem that is not a "winmodem" :)


Of course... any kt133 motherboard will work fine... I don't know if these are still produced but you should be able to find one =) A lot of them have ISA... Of course they are tied down to SDR only

Epox 8KTA3, Abit KT7A and Soltek SL75KAV-X fit the bill here. Might be semi-hard to find.


Honestly, you are limiting your options by clinging onto your legacy ISA modem and your old PC133 memory =)

    I did do a rare thing for me and hire a girl last month without warning. Everyone was made at me because I started her at like 21, but she worked with me before and I was like don't care. She made 19 at her old job and I wanted her to come work with me, she is the best

She can do it no problem, I've worked with her there.

    They won't get feel down while they do the thermometer, but we didn't have an instant read probe when I was learning. Like they did but god knows how off it is, you HAD to do it by feel. Even if the chef was fine with me bringing my own, it takes too long. Poke and know

    I recently had an experience with a waiter that really brought down @Varine's point about them being in sales. The first waiter just asked "anything else? deserts?" and when the table shook their head said "ok" and left. Then the other waiter came in and started going off describing the deserts and you could see the heads turning, and they finally got a bunch of deserts
