What it needs right now is a huge graphical overhaul.

Added a lot of abbreviations like WE, TFT, WC, OE

You should fix up your grammar a bit though such as:

A abbreviation of The Frozen Throne
An abbreviation of The Frozen Throne

Good job though.

Can some one rename "player nmumbers" to "Player Numbers"?

I'm finally starting to iron down some of the rouge edges on the wiki.

First is the new jass tags. Check out http://wiki.thehelper.net/wc3/jass/common.j/ConvertRace (hover over ConvertRace to see them in action, if you have javascript...). It pulls the documentation from the wiki pages which therefore has to be in a special format, press the edit button to see it. Only 3 natives are documented in this way so far...
This jass tag version will eventually, eg when I know that it performs ok, come to the forums too so it might be of interest to check it out even if you don't plan to visit the wiki.

Second is an annoying issue with wiki subpages which some users discovered right away when we (read I) changed from a flat structure to a hierarchical one. [[jass/common.j/GetLocalPlayer]] produced jass/common.j/ConvertRace instead of ConvertRace. This is being fixed atm. Check out my page for progress.

Last is trying to get some kind of the design on the wiki. I'm currently in the design phase (read: I tried to make something then realized that my designer skills sucks) and are trying to recruit Romek.
Note to Romek: Consider this the payback for forcing me to do the jass tags :D

My HS swim team season is over, so I can help you if necessary. :p
(Though I am no where as good as Romek)

That's awesome. Makes reading things a bit easer.

Why is your rep disabled? Was it getting so high that it might overflow :D.

I may start working on it latter, But I noticed something.

Searching for "ability" brings you to the page that refers to it in JASS.

Shouldn't there be a Page for Abilities in general?

Same with JASS. It's just a portal. I think it needs a small introduction or something.

wikis only really work if all wiki-people from one subjects are on the same wiki. Sadly there are about a quadrillion wc3 wikis, so I doubt your wiki will get very far.

Also, it's not on the first or second page if you Google "wc3 wiki".

I don't think Phyrex and the others are making this to get more visitors to our site, its to help the visitors and members already here.

This post might give you some insight on what short term goal I have for the wiki: http://www.thehelper.net/forums/showpost.php?p=1172685&postcount=53
Being a wiki, others might have other ideas that they push for but I would be pretty content if it "just" became a documentation platform for us here at thehelper.

Edit: A similar thing for the GUI tag is also WIP btw ^^

Requesting information to be written on the [ljass]GetSpellTargetX[/ljass]/[ljass]GetSpellTargetY[/ljass] about them being introduced in patch 1.24. Also requesting information to be written on the [ljass]UnitAlive[/ljass] native not being in common.j (I believe), but being usable in code once declared (in vJass).

General chit-chat
Help Users
  • No one is chatting at the moment.
  • Varine Varine:
How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air
  • The Helper The Helper:
New dessert added to recipes Southern Pecan Praline Cake https://www.thehelper.net/threads/recipe-southern-pecan-praline-cake.193555/
  • The Helper The Helper:
Another bot invasion 493 members online most of them bots that do not show up on stats
  • Varine Varine:
I'm looking at a solid 378 guests, but 3 members. Of which two are me and VSNES. The third is unlisted, which makes me think its a ghost.

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
