Yea, don't you just love the text too? I found it on Dafont.com. Anything at all thats wrong with it? It must be perfect so it can win. This is my passion to become a 3d enviromental artist for video games. I hope to get some schooling in soon on the subject. Within next year or so.

I like to make concepts and can draw decent enough to present them, and I would like to make character models. But characters would be more hard for me I think. The qaulity that people notice in my work either 2-D or 3-D is detail. So I'd be great at making all the detail in structures. Maybe after I do some architecture professionally I could do some of the character models to. Most likely some creature/boss/enemy of some sort. I love coming up with ideas for them.:thup:

Update

Finished Beast Texture, heres the WIP thread:

Also did another TUT to make a chess set. I made only the top part of all the pieces except for the pawn and knight I made them from nothing. The TUT already had the bases for the others..

I did all the materials and rendering different than the tutorial did. Takes a long time to get the rendering to look realistic the way you want it to.

A total of 142,054 polys!

Now that my slate is clean, I've had time to work on my GTA car. Its still a WIP. C&C.

hah i saw that thread on hive and when you showed your first car model they flamed you for something bout messed up poly and then you made that model and every1 was like holy shit its teh orgasm (not literally but thats what i thot)

Yea thats a nice quote to show some of the real masters of modeling. Im just a noob at this stuff. There is a lifetime to learn! The program is so fucking complex! I only know a few of the tools. probably only 10% of it all.

And No, I have not done anything on the bio cannon. That cannon is straight copy from final fantasy 7 midgar cannon I think it was. But yea I agree its awesome idea.

I'd like to say bye to TheHelper.net forums, I've become so inactive that I only come here to post updates in this thread. Hopefully that won't stop. I've found a much better forum suited to my needs www.game-artist.net where I can learn pretty much anything I need to know. I'm JudgeMagister there. I don't think anyone really cares all that much that im gone. It was nice making my first sigs and models and all that jazz here in the graphics zone. So goodbye! ;D

thats a rly nice car. if u do get anything on the cannon do post here tho, and gl on the other site. also thx for posting that hooked peasant model it was rly useful to me in my map.

    I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be

    Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that

    Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings

    Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality

    I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.

    I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
