No melee map plz!

I'm really a noob but anyway...How do I make a map non-melee so I can test it without having to generate starting locations?

Check the preferences or go to the trigger editor and create a trigger or two. This makes it CUSTOM. Unfortunately, it gets rid of many automatic easy-to-set triggers like how much gold everyone gets at the start of the game along with whatever simple triggers you had in place before changing to Custom. Makes it more tedious, but if you're patient, you can get a lot more done. I'm sure you'd know that much though.

I got rid of all the actions and I created two of them:
Cinematic - Turn cinematic mode On for (All players)\
&
Camera - Pan camera for Player 1 (Red) to (Target of Camera 001 <gen>) over 8.00 seconds

And still it bitches at me...

I still think you have to create starting locations though. It's not that hard, and you need them set anyway as that is where you go to AFTER the cinema.

and another thing...I asked the wrond question...I need to know just how to test a map without having to generate starting locations...no melee map crap...

Namely, I don't think it can be done. Just create a starting point somewhere; it doesn't matter.

AND another thing...I'm not really doing a map....I'm doing a....movie...you might want to call it...like red vs blue....just with warcraft three.....and stuff...

Red vs blue is great IMO....

Well anyway, just put the starting location and make a trigger that finishes "the game" automatically once the cinema's done.

O_O Yeah....I could do that...of course....why do it the easy way? Huh? I mean, it would be less time consuming and more pratical......

What's wrong with placing a starting area? It doesn't hurt the cinematics one bit.

Remove the default melee trigger and it's not melee. You can remove a few of the actions if you want to keep some of the others. Deleting one of those actions makes it non melee.
