Whats the difference between Preloader(ModelFile) and Preload(ModelFile) ?

Preload preloads a model so that it won't cause lag. Preloader executes a file that's supposed to preload a bunch of stuff (melee does this), but it's abusable.

I don't know about .slk, it has to be Jass. .txt works fine. Blizzard uses .pld files, which are really just .txt files in disguise.

There's many things you cannot do from within a Preloader file, such as anything to do with triggers I believe (except if you want to leak handles! you can do that... off memory).

Assuming someone knows the Preloader trick, wouldn't this be pretty easy to remove? (just search for Preloader)

Yes, but I could actually get around that with a mix of stupidity and pure insanity.

Certainly. I would even throw some MapLock in there. But that doesn't mean I know how to.
