Not sure if I'm going to get SC2 anymore

....

That's more what I was getting at.

The only restrictions I see are adding people, and chat rooms. First one is most likely going to be fixed with some workaround by Blizzard, but second they've said will be only done for Clans I think. They're not game-breaking issues.

Perhaps not, but that doesn't eliminate the fact that if these issues aren't fixed, it'll still lose sales.

Why don't we wait for it to come out? We don't know what they will end up doing. World of Warcraft was going to have Orcish Priests instead of shamans originally, and hawkstriders were going to be named cockostriders.

Its a fun game and there isn't much that would interfere with me having fun playing the game. I'm going to get it and i don't see any reason not to if you want to play a great rts.

... people play Blizzard games for the games not the editors?

I have not been on WC3 for the past two years except for testing on WorldEdit.

Case and point?

Case and point?

Ehh
There's a big difference between playing games (whether offline or online), and pressing the Test Map button in World Edit, and playing maps that you didn't make is much different than playing maps you did make.

Because they're the greatest RTS developer of all time. I mean just look at Starcraft 1. 12 years and people are still playing it even though the graphics are primitive.

I thought it was B.net that made sc1 successful - the chat channels, clans, etc. since as far as game-play I liked age of empires about as much as SC1

Battle.net would be pretty useless if the editor is how it is. The reason why games like wc3 are still being played is because of the multiplayer feature and the editor. Playing the same RTS game over and over gets boring and that's what makes a game die of in 1-3 years. If the game has a editor that allows people to make all types of games, the game doesn't get boring because of all the custom maps that are different genre of games that you can still play.

How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
