Nuon Player reading problems....

Does anyone know what's up with my Nuon player? It will read Nuon games and DVD's just fine but when i put in a music cd it says no disk. I have a 501.

What gives??

Sounds like your drive is flaking out. You could try a lens cleaner of some sort (didn't work for me, but worth a try).

If all else fails, you have the option of swapping the drive out for a replacement. Take a look at the guide here, its pretty simple to do once you've tracked down the correct part.

Hmm, I just got a NUON from a buddy of mine and the drive is about shot. I seem to be having trouble finding a replacement drive. Could we get a list of the Samsung DVD models that are compatible drives? I really want to get this sucker running as I have always wanted a NUON. Happy to finally have one, but it's in critical condition!:banghead:

Well, I don't know all the compatible models -- I'm not sure anyone actually does -- but here's a quote from the guide T T linked to:
