Obama Healthcare plain and simple.

but we dont.

It might be hard to believe, but America has people that care.

Yes, it was a hypothetical question posed to a person who said 'why give someone something for free... you get what you work for...'

But on the point, are you really comfortable in trusting welfare of americans in the discretion of a few, unelected civilians?

yes. because id rather be cared for by people that actually care then people given money by the government.

When people work for charities, its because they WANT to.

I've come to the conclusion that universal healthcare is just another horrible patch to "fix" mistakes by the part of the government on actually deciding to use a monetary system.

For a 'horrible patch' it sure works very, very well.

It has pros and cons. A truly good system should only have pros.

But it should go into effect. But with humans being such nasty little creatures, it can't.

While I agree that the US spends absurd amounts on healthcare and obviously reform is needed, you can find reports that show how good universal healthcare is and how bad it is as well, so NoxMortus stop pretending like their is some type of world wide agreement on the idea that universal healthcare is the best and perfect way to go.

As much as people like to point to exceptions I am talking about the rule. Look at medicare in America, 60 Billion wasted in fraud (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/10/23/60minutes/main5414390.shtml) while its something I cant use, I can only pay to help but will never get benefits from (redistribution of wealth? am i in communist russia or something?). Some what similar to social security, benefits that I always pay for, but I will never actual be able to use. So once our socialist system is passed it will be another fraud corrupted govt bureau that I will never ever get help from, but will be paying for till the day I die, yeah that sounds like a great idea has worked so well in the past.

You can deny the facts all you want, but the statistics show that all the top countries for healthcare have some kind of universal healthcare.

The U.S is joined only by third-world or developing countries in denying their citizens healthcare.

It is really ironic that US taxes are paying for universal healthcare in Iraq and Afghanistan, while back home millions of americans are suffering without insurance.

Obama Healthcare. Done. 3/21/2010

Consider this punishment for that Sarah Palin bullshit the GOP tried to shove down the throats of rational Americans.

Socialism +1 Capitalism -1

Amen brother.

its funny because the only state that has universal healthcare (MA) which I live in has the highest premiums in the country and the treasure of the state has been warning the state (and more recently the federal government) that universal healthcare is actually driving the state towards bankruptcy so I guess it is a victory if bankruptcy is the goal?

thanks for trying to ruin the country its people like you which is why were all fucked

this is not good, it would seem like the gears have begun to turn in America's transforming into a socialism.

Screw you apathy T_T

I'd like to point out that health care reform, especially now that it's gained a ton of momentum, is really unimportant when compared to other problems.

And, though some of you here would like to think it marks the end of capitalism, I would like to reassure you that it's going to take more than public health care to finish of an age old economic structure.

What I think Americans, such my self, should be more concerned with is UNEMPLOYMENT.

Regardless of what exact percent unemployment is at currently, most Americans can agree that it is too high.

Couple this with a bloated military budget and a need for decreased government spending and you've got quite the conundrum.

Government spending currently, and for the past decade or so, has been pretty ridiculous.

I understand that deficit spending can be beneficial, but at some point we've got to actually be able to pay for both Universal Healthcare and Social Security.

If its going to take some budget cuts to establish universal health care, the cuts will more than likely come from the military budget.

A cut in military budget can, but doesn't necessarily, mean that our troops get to come home. And, while I, along with most people, would agree that the troops coming home is awesome. All of the troops will be jobless.

Summarily, As a result of universal health care, we may be seeing a massive peak in unemployment over the next months.

I ordered like five blocks for 15 dollars. They're just little aluminum blocks with holes drilled into them
  • Varine Varine:
They are pretty much disposable. I have shitty nozzles though, and I don't think these were designed for how hot I've run them
  • Varine Varine:
I tried to extract it but the thing is pretty stuck. Idk what else I can use this for
  • Varine Varine:
I'll throw it into my scrap stuff box, I'm sure can be used for something
  • Varine Varine:
I have spare parts for like, everything BUT that block lol. Oh well, I'll print this shit next week I guess. Hopefully it fits
  • Varine Varine:
I see that, despite your insistence to the contrary, we are becoming a recipe website
  • Varine Varine:
    Which is unique I guess.
  • The Helper The Helper:
Actually I was just playing with having some kind of mention of the food forum and recipes on the main page to test and see if it would engage some of those people to post something. It is just weird to get so much traffic and no engagement
  • The Helper The Helper:
So what it really is me trying to implement some kind of better site navigation not change the whole theme of the site
  • Varine Varine:
How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air
