Odd Behaviour in IE6

My computer has been behaving in a strange matter recently. When I surf the internet using Internet Explorer 6, my computer sometimes freezes without warning or error. At that point nothing else reponds but the Reset button on the computer. So far this has only been happening with Internet Explorer 6. I have the latest drivers for everything, trust me. I am running Windows 2000 Pro. This never happened under Windows 98SE. Every other program works like a charm.

I am suspecting overheating activity. I can't see why else it would act like this. It is odd that games would not heat up the computer higher tough. One would think IE6 hardly uses ressources compared to games. I will install a program which monitors my computer's tempature and post the results.

If you mean the Windows Update Site, yes I have. I downloaded the service pack, software and driver upgrades and critical updates. The only things I did not download are useless stuff like MSN Messenger or the Euro Conversion Tool.

Now I've got problems with IE that I can't fix too...
I installed Korean and Japanese input support because I thought it would be neato, now every time my comp or IE starts up that damned Keyboard icon (internat.exe or internat.win, not really sure) pops up in my system tray saying "En," I don't want it.
I can't figure out how to undo this *cries*

Have you tried going back to 5.0 or 5.5? I've heard bad things about 6 so far.

Hahahahah, I was looking for a way to disable the keyboard icon when all I needed to do was uninstall the input support.
