One Arrow Shot Spell?

I have a few abilities based off just a arrow shot sorta thing but im having trouble finding a spell that shoots a enemy unit and looks like what an archer does when attacking. Everything either makes the arrow HUGE, doesnt work at all or has some stun or an effect.

Basically.... all my spells are based off channel with no effects but im trying to create a dummy to cast spell on a unit so it gives it an arrow shooting look since a channel based spell doesnt. (the channel spells arent 'channeled' just use them so i wont get no stupid stun effects or unwanted things.

You could have it do the attacking animation when the unit uses the spell:

Event: Units starts casting an ability
Conditons: Ablitiy being cast is = (ur spell)
Actions:Animation - Play Attack 1 animations for casting unit

and if u want u can use if/then/else statements so u can have more than one ability in this trigger which in turn reduces lag if u have a lot of spells needing this sort of adjustment. I.E.:

Events: Units starts casting an ability
Conditions: (none)
Actions: If Ablitiy being cast is = (ur spell) then Animation - Play Attack 1 animations for casting unit

make an ability off fireball

change missle model to whatever the model your archer has

set duration for unit and hero to 0

that simple

i could do that ability in like 1 second.....

....no offense

Nope. Changing buff does only change the art.

EDIT:
I might have got a solution, but it's a bit tricky. Make a dummy unit at the caster's position. Set its flying height to the same as the caster. Give it lots of damage and lots of splash. Then order it to attack ground at the position of the caster.

This works perfectly. (I tried)
If you base the dummyspell of berserk, the gyrocopter will drop a bomb without stopping.

I got it to work (using a dummy unit), but there is no missile. I believe it has to do with the model.

EDIT: I tried, and it was not the model that caused the error (or the lack of a model) , but the lack of range between the unit and the target. But now it works, and there is a "blast" effect.

ya im probably going to have to do that, any ability that missle works makes the arrow huge or all messed up looking. thx

its even simpler than what scorpion said.

dont change the buff, change the effect in stats. take the effect off or put another one, this removes the stun and/or adds another effect. extremly simple.

That would be great, but it doesn't work. The stun duration is set in the ability, not in the effect or the buff.
