8years? They announced D3 after 8 years, they announced sc2 after 10years and know it is up to 11 for sc2 since it's release has been moved to next year. I would not count on 8 years if I where you, and with the fact that they are kind of continuing the story in wow does not make it look any brighter either

This sounds like a really neat thing. I just hope that it get's done soon How about releasing a little demo/teaser map soon?(or the whole thing)
With like a little taste sample of how the campaign and the races will be?

Like a small map with some crusaders units and a few quests, maybe some dragonics or outcasts attack some village and you are to put an end for that or something like that

WoW is just another branch of the franchise.. They will continue it, they never said or implied they were stopping the RTS franchise of it. Many games split off into different spin offs or different genres of the franchise, if they made a FPS starcraft, does that automatically mean they are done with the RTS one?

Yes, UPDATE!

Yup, the terrain is finished and it is awesome! Thanks to thewrongvine for helping me, we just need to finish the first mission then i will release the 0.04 pack. So yes, It is nearly finished!

Small update, 0.04 is pretty much finished all i need to do is the mission, im so sorry this is taking a long time but i want this to be very good, Also the Sages of course as ive said, will be playable, the following units are getting reskined:

Slave = Now has golden hair, a chain mail with a red cross on it, steel platelegs, and a few new minor details
Guardian = Chain mail legs, white armour, steel gloves with dark iron studs, white sword
Nighthawk = A Darkish steel with golden symbols on the shoulder pads, mostly has dark iron armour, including dark iron pike.

I am also currently working artwork for new models:

Guardian = A unit with light armour and some cloth, has golden glowing quadriple ended whips, a cloth over his mouth. Mostly uses light colours.

Foundation = A Tower like building with two metal feathers on the top and two down the bottom, the Pack up animation is the top feathers curl up then the bottom ones, then the tower pushes some spikes and sides into itself then falls backwards into a Siege Foundry.

House = sort of like a farm but has wooden roofs, and light Grey bricks.

And of course more to come.

ha, yeah I was thinking the same thing. But smaller makes 1) more things fit and 2) more realistic scale - in Warcraft, the scale is off, units are too big. Now that units are smaller, they are in proportion to the rocks, trees, doors, etc.

yeah thats what i had in mind, plus i wanted One War to be about large armies, and unlike Warcraft 3 it doesn't use heroes or small army's, so it sort of reverts back to Warcraft 2's style of play but with these races.

One War Postponed

I know a lot of people think this is dead but it isn't. It is actually postponed, and I will come back to it in the years to come. Sorry for the delay, Warcraft IV has had me preoccupied.

Hehe. A little while ago, I was looking through old, hopefully finished projects to see if there were any maps to play. I remember seeing this one and going "Wow! This looks completely AWSOME! Too bad the creator is doing WCIV and won't be finishing this anytime soon...". Just so you know, I do think this project looks amazing and I really hope you finish it at some point! Good luck with both your projects

Nope, it's just that I don't have time to work on both of the projects yet. Perhaps when I'm in the later stages of beta I'll start working on both, but I doubt it. One War will most likely become a game if we continue with our company plans.. :thup:
