Optional Aura

Is there any way to create an aura that can be turned off? Like, say I wanted to increase my ally's attack power. I could turn on the aura. But if I were to need to only deal a specific amount of damage, could I turn off the aura to set my damage back to normal?

Try modifying abilities like immolation, mana shield, and defend. You'll either have to create a dummy unit in triggers, or add a dummy ability to the caster.
