Event:Time - Every 30 seconds
Condition:GameMode equals 1
Actions:Create 1 footman for Neutral Hostile at region facing 180 degrees
Unit Group - Order (units in region) ro Attack-Move to Center of Circle of Power

Theres a circle of power in the center on elevated group, with ramps (hero units that players control can get to the area).

When the Footman moves. he gets right to the top of the ramp, and turns around and goes back to the region he was created in. Anything you can think of that could be causing this?

Press "P" in WE to view the pathing. Anything pink is unwalkable. Ensure that there is a clear path to the region.

It's clear all the way up to the center region

The only two thing that I can think of is that another trigger is doing this, or something is wrong with your ramp, which would be visible in the pathing.

They just sorta turn around when they reach the top of the ramp...as a group...at the same exact time. I thought it was another trigger also, I jsut spent 15 minutes looking thru my triggers and I don't see anything that could possibly be doing this. Would any sort of weather effects be able to do this?

I doubt it. Weather effects are just art effects. I recommend checking the triggers again for anything with a move order and that region. Also, make sure you aren't ordering the units to patrol.

Things like this are a pain sometimes, often "its just how warcraft works". Sometimes other things like turning around half way and that sort of stuff "just happen"...

So... you may not be able to avoid it - what i normally do is put "catcher" regions closer to the attack-move target so if they do turn back then this region catches them and resets their order to attack move to the target again.

Even in DOTA and all that crap you will notice sometimes your own units heading back to your base - its annoying :(

Catcher sounds good...trying it now

Catcher didn't work. And when they get there I even had them set to guard. after a few seconds they just ran back to where they were created. I checked all triggers that have anything to do with any regions on the map...none have any order unit triggers at all except the triggers I use to send the units to the center. Would using Neutral Hostile as the player have something to do with this?

ah your using neutral hostile? i remember someone saying something regarding this. Check your gamplay constants there might be something there to set the range they can travel or something.

Try it without using neutral hostile see if it still hapenns. I normally use players for this, i get some anomalies running back which is why i have the capture but its normally only a few units out of the group not the whole bunch

"Gameplay constants", there's a couple "Creep" ones.
Most notably "guard distance" and "guard return time".
Put something really big there, like 99999.

Or, forget "Neutral" and use a player, like player 12.
They don't have that problem.

Is there any way to create units for Player 1, but not allow player 1 to control them?

Sort of. You can add the ability Locust to the units, but it must be done in game.

Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots

Weekend went by too fast. Next weekend I am going to try to do a nature thing - buddy of mine lives by the Colorado river and has some kayaks and invited me to do some kayaking from a place he knows to get on the river.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    That sounds like an adventure.

I wonder how all these bots that sit on the lastest content page get passed anubis or maybe they did not but they are just registering on whos online
  • The Helper The Helper:
showing up on whos online not registration
  • Ghan Ghan:
The first gate is stopping all the bots that don't execute javascript.
  • Ghan Ghan:
That's the main thing with Anubis - no Javascript, no site. Typically you can still get the site to load without Javascript.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I remember the whole javascript thing, question - how many real people disable that?
  • The Helper The Helper:
Hell I guess I could go back on the stats to know that - we probably capture that and we know the before and after
  • Ghan Ghan:
Real users can't really disable Javascript anymore these days.
  • Ghan Ghan:
The internet is broken without it.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Bot readable, not human usable.
  • The Helper The Helper:
    got it
