Ordering a unit to cast a custom ability

Hey, im wondering if you can use triggers to order a unit to cast a custom ability. When you go in the order trigger, you have to say which specific ability you want to order, there is no option to order unit to cast <ability>. The problem is I cant select the custom ability since it isn't in the list. Sorry if im explaining this unclearly, heres a screenshot.

I looked and I dont think there is a direct way of doing it...

As a work around, what you could do is create a trigger with the desired effect and in your triggers, simply run that trigger

ie..

Trigger A has the effect

In trigger B,
Whatever Event you want to take place or whatever (unit comes in range)
Run trigger A

Hope that makes sense and helps.. If you need me to elaborate let me know, also if so, provide a description of what type of unit/effect you want to happen and when.

If not, it should.

Well, if you used, for example, "Inferno" as base ability to make your custom one,
then that's the order you gotta give "Undead - Dreadlord - Inferno".
Doesn't matter what you called it.
Order it to use the original ability.

Well, just to clarify, all custom abilities have a base ability. That is, they all have a base ID. When you want to make a unit use a custom ability, you have to know the base id. For example, suppose you based your ability off faerie fire. Therefore, when you want to make it cast your custom ability, you have to scroll down the list and cast faerie fire. For this reason, that is why you usually cant have more than one ability with the same base ID on the same hero. They tend to overlap and conflict with each other.
