in a custom map, with NO undead, how can I edit the spells so they can target the spawning forces.

The spells being the DK's Pact and the Liches Sacrifice

Do you eman so they can target different units? Like death pact affecting allied alive units as well? If so, change the "Targets allowed" feild to what fits your situation.

Nope still says
"cant target unit is not undead"

dunno, damn dont want to change the units to be classed as undead, buggers up paladins holy light ability........ or does it...

go to object editor then at the top of that go to the abilities editor
find the spell that u want to alter and then fit it to your needs in this case change the "Targets Allowed"

Again, time for bad news.

You cannot change Death Pact and the Heal to work OTHER THAN on non-undead or living units.

They are specifcally hard wired in. At best, you can change <i>other</i> units to be undead or not, but you'd have to change them all.

but it still doesnt work

The choices in "TARGETS ALLOWED" do not cover the undead classification.

selecting the 'Alive' type still does nothing for the spell, which refuses to be cast on any 'alive' target.

Err, okay. Allow me to clarify.

Ignore all the posts about targets allowed. Its hard-wired in.

The only thing you can do is change CLASSIFICATION to undead.

Yes, it is.

However, changing the classification does work. But you have to go through all the units, so any enemy unit ends up undead.

Then it won't heal allies that are undead. Allies is also hard wired in.

I've seen people make custom trigger spells to get the desired results instead. Triggers can have 'unit deal damage' to other units, and heal units as well.
