only because its an easy build, the best terrans iv seen are capable of rushing thors/battleships by 5-10 mins

Please show me a replay of at least 1 pro-level player who rushes to thors + battlecruisers without playing a bronze opponent. . .

TvZ == Marine + Siege Tank + Few Thors against mass mutalisks + Ghosts against infestors
TvP == (MMM) Marine Marauder Medivac + Ghosts for emps + Viking against collosi + Raven for pdd or banshees
TvT == Siege Tank + Marine + Vikings for air control

i was only meaning siege type, not specifically thors and battle cruisers, and i usually play zerg, and the only terran that beat me are the ones that go advanced tech not spam

just curious GFreak but what league are you?

and burrowing infestors to mind control the units on the other side is just useless as by the time your infestors get to the other side the battle wouldve finished and the terran probably wouldve won if your missing just that few infestors.

Avoid, if at all possible.

Sieged tanks have a range of 13, neural parasite has a range of 7. I don't see how keeping burrowed roaches would protect them though.

It could potentially work since terran don't usually have permanent detection but instead focus on scans mostly.

The problem is that the moment the Infestors unburrow, they will be shelled to death instantly by the siege tanks.

I only really play custom
and if i use infestors, usually i dont, i keep them ahead of my army, so they dont have to spend time getting in place, and if i can get some type of higher ground and neural every tank before they kill my infestors i win the fight almost every single time im successfull, usually there is some type of higher ground nearby

it requires a lot of good microing but generally if you can get gold on all the challenges its more than possible

I disagree. The tanks aren't waiting for the infestors to unburrow before they shoot. Move in with roaches, tanks shoot, unborrow and mind control. The cooldown of the attack is enough to do it. (I play zerg as well)

Just as a general notice, the infestors are mainly used for their infested terrans, then comes fungal and on last place is the neural parasite.

Why do you insist on nerualparasiting anyway ? There are tons of unused units in the current methagame. It is not a flaw by far. In every strategy game there is a number of builds which are just simply better than the rest, and they are used the most because people want to win.
Blizzard can't make every unit viable without limiting the player's options (for example you choose MMM in the beginning of the game and you can't transition out of it, you can make vikings but no tanks, thors and the likes) Why is generally mixing every unit in the game bad for balance ? Look at the 1-1-1 and it's efficiency against the protoss.

Having units who are not used as often is the price for not having heroes. In warcraft III your hero had a BIG impact on the unit composition you will have (for example Mountain king meant footman-rifle, Arch, meant the priest, sorc, spellbreaker + upgrade combo [I have played a bit of wc3, but enough to get to a decent position in the ladder and abuse the human race])

Actually most of my comment was to cornface ^_^

I am pretty sure that after legacy of the void SCII will be in it's full glory- with more units, builds and possibilities than ever. Still, this is some years from now ^_^

How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
